Crammed with the cream of cult entertainment this shop is a seventh heaven for sci-fi fans. In the old days, Forbidden Planet just stocked every science-fiction book under the stars. These days it has branched out into the realm of Star Trek collectables and Lord of the Rings action figures. Secreted in the basement there is still a colossal selection of books from fantasy to political titles by the likes of Chomsky. Although we can’t promise that Tolkien will be signing your copy of ‘The Return of the King’, they do host frequent book signings. The shop is a Mecca for Star Wars fans and with the vast selection of weapon replicas lining the shelves you can fight your nearest and dearest with your very own light saver. Even if you’re not a die-hard Trekkie, it's worth a look. There is simply a vast collection of the latest and greatest toys, DVDs, comics, trading cards and models.
