Following the classic template for artsy East End venues, The Star of Bethnal Green looks like a run-down old local on the outside, but has had the interior stripped down, to make room for dancing, decks, and a stage for live music. It was converted by Rob Star, promoter of the legendary Mulletover parties, so the soundsystem is excellent. Live bands and club-nights are mostly drawn from the Shoreditch scene, which means lots of cutting-edge electronic sounds, and genre mingling. Big sofas and decent food make it a comfortable daytime chillout for trendy locals, with darts and Sky Sports on offer upstairs.The Star Of Bethnal Green events
